Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period are normal life events. We trust the body's innate ability to give birth while remaining vigilant for situations that require additional support, consultation, or transfer of care. Our goal is to protect the normal processes of birth whenever safely possible.

Meaningful care begins with meaningful relationships. We strive to create a space where families feel heard, respected, and supported. Through longer appointments, continuity of care, and open communication, we build partnerships that extend beyond a single birth experience.

We recognize that every family comes from a unique cultural, spiritual, and personal background. We are committed to ongoing learning, self-reflection, and respectful care that honors the diverse experiences, traditions, and values of the families we serve.

We believe every family deserves access to safe, respectful maternity care regardless of where they live. Serving rural communities means advocating for families navigating maternity care deserts, long travel distances, and limited local resources.

Strong communities support healthy families. We value collaboration with other healthcare professionals, doulas, lactation consultants, mental health providers, bodyworkers, and community resources to ensure families receive comprehensive, well-rounded care.

Moonlit Midwifery acknowledges that we live and work on the traditional lands of the Hinono’eino’ Biito’owu’ (Arapaho), Ndé Kónitsąąíí Gokíyaa (Lipan Apache), Očhéthi Šakówiŋ, and Tsétsėhéstȧhese/Tsitsistas/Só'taeo'o (Cheyenne) Peoples.
